According to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Bray Wyatt, whose true name was Windham Rotunda, passed away at the age of 36.

Triple H wrote in a post on X, the site that replaced Twitter,
“Just got a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who broke the heartbreaking news that Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, had gone away abruptly earlier today. We ask that everyone respect the privacy of his family at this time because our thoughts are with them.”
Despite being in the middle of a prominent feud with Bobby Lashley, Wyatt was unable to compete at WrestleMania 39 and was taken off television weeks prior to the event. Even though Wyatt was out for several months, the outlook for his return was optimistic as recently as early August. After appearing to recover from a potentially life-threatening medical absence, Wyatt was said to be closer to making a comeback.
Sadly, Wyatt eventually lost his life. The exact reason for Wyatt’s passing is still a mystery. WWE Superstars and legendary wrestlers have paid tribute to the top star on social media with heartfelt eulogies.
Bray Wyatt is a hugely popular character in the modern WWE, and even after his release in 2020, his memorabilia continued to sell well. Wyatt would later return to the organisation at the start of the Triple H Era, when WWE began to leak hints about a “White Rabbit.” Wyatt’s return was swiftly deduced by the audience, and the excitement paid off with record-breaking numbers for the September 23, 2022 programme.
With 2.535 million viewers, SmackDown had the best viewership for WWE this year and since 2020. Although many had expected Wyatt to appear on the programme based on the “9/23” vignette, Wyatt made his victorious comeback at WWE Extreme Rules less than a month later.
Wyatt was among the most well-liked and prosperous WWE Superstars of the contemporary age. In fact, Wyatt was so adored by fans that when WWE made the absurd choice to crown Seth Rollins as the WWE Universal champion instead, it sparked some of the most ferocious opposition the organisation has ever experienced.
Even though this version of Bray Wyatt encountered difficulties up to his final appearance at WrestleMania 37, The Fiend went on to win the WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
Wyatt was a natural born creator whose inventive approach to pro wrestling was frequently both his best friend and worst enemy.

“among the most… In an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Triple H remarked, “Crazy, creative people I’ve ever been around. I mean that in the greatest way imaginable. “The intellect simply never stops being inventive. Without the harness and without someone to direct the tornado, it’s just all over the place because it’s like being in a whirlwind of stuff. He is a victim of his own imagination and thinking, and it is all around him.”
Wyatt’s extraordinary 13-year WWE career will be replete with everything from adoration to confusion to what might have been questions. Wyatt won’t ever be forgotten, and his impact on the wrestling industry has left a distinctive, exquisitely dark, and twisted legacy.
The children Knash and Hyrie Von and his partner, former WWE ring announcer Jojo Offerman, survive Wyatt.
