Elon Musk, the new CEO, has made suggestions that a new sign, possibly one that resembles his all-time favorite “X,” will take the place of the recognizable blue bird emblem. Additionally,he has also said that a post on Twitter, commonly called a tweet, will be renamed to “X”. When asked about the new name for a tweet once Twitter becomes “X”, the owner replied, “N X.” He also said that the users would not be called “Xers” and commented, “We will not have a name.”
Elon Musk reveals Twitter switches new ‘X’ logo

As part of a comprehensive redesign of the social media site he purchased for $44 billion last year, Elon Musk has introduced a new “X” logo to replace Twitter’s iconic blue bird.
On Monday, the X began to show at the top of the desktop version of Twitter, but the bird remained still the most prominent element throughout the mobile app.
Meanwhile, employees at the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco could be seen Monday removing the recognizable bird and logo until police arrived and stopped them because they had the necessary permits and failed to tape off the pavement to protect bystanders in case anything dropped.
Early in the afternoon, you could still see the “er” at the end of Twitter.
The hasty removal of Twitter’s past artifacts, both physically and digitally, was emblematic of the disorganized way Musk has led the business since his hesitant acquisition.”It’s the end of an era, and a clear signal that the Twitter of the past 17 years is gone and not coming back,” said Insider Intelligence analyst Jasmine Enberg.
However, Musk has been outspoken about turning Twitter into platform X from the beginning, and Twitter was already a shell of its previous self.
Meta’s new text-based app Threads.
The latest modification made by Musk since Twitter’s acquisition has alienated users and driven off advertisers, leaving the microblogging service open to new dangers like rival Meta’s new text-based program Threads, which specifically targets Twitter users.Musk chose one of the logo concepts submitted by fans and described it as minimalist Art Deco, adding that it “certainly will be refined.” He tweeted a picture of the image projected on Twitter’s San Francisco offices and changed his own Twitter emblem to a white X on a black background.
“And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” Musk wrote in a tweet on Sunday.
The X.com web domain now redirects users to Twitter.com.
“There are so many small businesses and so many nonprofits and so many government agencies and things like that all around the world that have relied on Twitter for many years to push their message and reach people,” she said. “And they all have the Twitter icon on everything from their website to their business cards.”
According to Musk, the X.com website now sends users to Twitter.com. “I can’t say I’m surprised, but I think it’s a very selfish decision,” Baltimore, Maryland resident Hannah Thoreson, who has used Twitter since 2009 for both professional and personal messages, said.
She noted that a great number of small businesses, charitable organizations, governmental bodies, and other organizations rely on Twitter to spread their messages and connect with customers. And on everything from their websites to their business cards, they all have the Twitter emblem.
who now primarily uses Mastodon.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has always been captivated by the letter X and, after purchasing Twitter in October, had already changed the company’s name to X Corp. When asked what tweets will be called after the rebranding, Musk responded that they would be called Xs.
The billionaire also serves as CEO of Space Exploration Technologies Corp., or SpaceX, a corporation that manufactures rockets.Additionally, he founded the artificial intelligence business xAI this month to rival ChatGPT. He started an online financial services startup called X.com in 1999 that is now known as PayPal.
He also refers to one of his sons, whose mother is the musician Grimes, as “X.” The real name of the child is made up of many letters and glyphs.
The longtime NBC Universal executive Linda Yaccarino who was chosen by Musk to lead Twitter in May posted the new logo and offered her opinion on the transition, writing on Twitter that X would represent “the future state of unlimited interactivity — centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking — creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities.”
“I can’t say I’m surprised, but I think it’s a very selfish decision,” Baltimore, Maryland resident Hannah Thoreson, who has used Twitter since 2009 for both professional and personal messages, said.
Around the world, there are countless small businesses, charitable organizations, governmental bodies, and organizations of a similar nature that have relied on Twitter for years to spread their message and connect with people.
And on everything from their websites to their business cards, they all have the Twitter emblem.
Twitter users also noted how little Alphabet, Google’s parent company since 2015, is mentioned. Facebook changed its name to Meta in 2021, but the programs it owns, like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook, continue to use their original names and logos.
Prior to the business’s Wall Street debut as a publicly traded company, Twitter’s famous blue bird logo went live in 2012, replacing an earlier bird logo.
“Seeing it go makes me sad. Martin Grasser, the logo’s creator, remarked that it had a successful run. However, 11 or 12 years is a really long time for a business identity to endure. It makes sense” that they would choose a new logo because it feels like the platform is changing and they have a new direction.
